Rethink 8 Listen
How do we live out the Sermon on the Mount? The unfortunate truth is that in our day the biblical view of truth telling and lying have largely been dismissed. "A unique tactic of Satan is taking something that God made to be good, and twisting it just a little to make it bad!" When you became a disciple of His, you signed up to be a truth teller. We should not need to "swear" to convince those listening to us that we are truth tellers. God calls us to be a people of deep integrity. -
Rethink 7: Deep Integrity Listen
Overview: How do we live out the Sermon on the Mount? The unfortunate truth is that in our day the biblical view of truth telling and lying have largely been dismissed. "A unique tactic of Satan is taking something that God made to be good, and twisting it just a little to make it bad!" When you became a disciple of His, you signed up to be a truth teller. We should not need to "swear" to convince those listening to us that we are truth tellers. God calls us to be a people of deep integrity. -
Rethink 4: Love and Law Listen
Big Idea: The heart of the law is good and Jesus came to bring it to life. There is nothing that God hasn't given us that is not good for us, including the law. Not following Jesus from the heart will amount to nothing. Not doing anything from the heart with God will amount to nothing. Will we commit to lives shaped by the heart of the law? God desires us to rethink what it means to keep His commands, to follow Him and obey Him. Bottom Line: I love to follow Jesus as much as I love Jesus. -
Rethink 3: You Are Salt and Light Listen
Overview: How do we live out the beatitudes. We become salt and light. In your experience, are Christians so separate from the world that they can't make any difference in the world? Or have Christians become so much like the word that they're not different enough to make an impact on the world? If we are to be salt and Light to a corrupt, prejudiced, rotting world, we must live in the world, but not be contaminated by the world. We must be salt and light. To influence the world I am to be distinctive from, not identical with the world. -
Rethink: More Than A Vacation Bible School Song Listen
Big Idea: There have many famous speeches through out our time that have shaped and charged our culture. This one they call the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus delivered it. But in a world with quick self help to do it yourself plans, do you really believe that what Jesus says in this great speech can truly change your life? Even if your answer was yes, do you believe you can actually live the way He said?Bottom Line: You can do this. -

More to Life: Than Being Good or Doing Good Religion Listen
There is an eternal longing for an everlasting relationship and a place with God. There's nothing wrong with that. The problem is that we think we have to do all we can to earn and maintain it. We don't. There aren't enough good religious things we could do. There aren't enough kind, moral, nice things we can do either. Jesus has done it. We are in good standing because of Jesus. -
Grace Is Born: Grace is Not Cheap Listen
Philip Yancy calls grace - " the last best word" The Conclusion of the series on grace reminds us that grace is not cheap. We are all, like John Newton, guilty of sin.
