Our Shepherds

Garth and Diana became members of the Pitman Road church in 2008 after serving for 19 years as missionaries in Marseilles, France. They became acquainted with the congregation through the mission trips Pitman Road sponsors to the Marseilles church, and chose to settle in Pitman upon their return to the U.S.  Garth and Diana were married in in 1989, and have three young adult children. Garth is a regional services manager for a company providing leadership and support for community-based organizations that employ disadvantaged individuals.  Diana was a public school French teacher, but now tutors privately.  Garth was appointed as a shepherd in 2016, after serving as a deacon over Community Outreach.  He serves as a worship leader, teaches adult Bible classes, and participates in both the Men’s Prayer Group and Men’s Bible Study. Diana directs youth musical/dramatic productions, co-leads the Women’s Prayer Ministry, and teaches children’s Bible classes. Together they have worked with the Pitman Road Youth Group, organized and implemented the Pitman Road University adult Bible curriculum, and are currently leading a young adult LIFE Group. Being former missionaries, their focus continues to be on outreach. They enjoy having people in their home and teaching personal Bible studies.
